Renaldas Galdikas

CEO

Experience of Renaldas:

  • Renaldas has more than 15 years of project management experience.
  • Certified Data Centre Management Professional (CDCMP).
  • He has designed and built many certified data centres in the Baltic States and Norway.
  • Renaldas is well versed in the development of tailor-made data centre electrical solutions using a wide range of devices, resulting in highly reliable and efficient data centres.

In his previous jobs, Renaldas has contributed to projects such as the design and installation of the data centre, which was named Lithuanian Product of the Year 2009. It is a 1MW data centre compliant with the EN 1047-2 security standard. The facilities in the centre meet the highest reliability (Tier IV) guidelines and guarantee uninterrupted operation of the data centre. Renaldas, together with the members of the team working on this project, designed and installed for the first time in Lithuania uninterruptible power supplies with kinetic energy storage and diesel engines combined into a single unit (Diesel rotary UPS system).

The 2x1MW uninterruptible power supply was concentrated in an extremely small building that was allowed to be used for the data centre’s power systems. Renaldas and his team had to deal with quite specific noise reduction problems, while protecting the data centre from vibrations caused by the railways. Arūnas, who worked on the project, designed and installed an innovative cooling system that saves an average of 30% of the energy per year when compared to traditional cooling methods.

Another important project that confirms Renaldas’ experience is the development of data centres for a telecommunications company. Working for another company, Renaldas and his team members built one of the most efficient data centres in the country. It is a 1MW data centre that has been equipped with revolutionary server cooling units, which are still unrivalled in the deployment of super-efficient data centres today.

This was the first time in Lithuania that “Uptime Institute” was involved in this project, and both the project and the data centre were certified at TIER III level. The result of the previous work was so successful that in 2020 Renaldas and his team were invited to design and build a new 400kW data centre.

Egle Melinske

CFO

Experience of Eglė:

  • Eglė is an experienced finance manager, having spent the last 6 years managing the finances of fast-growing international companies. Prior to that, she worked for 7 years as a financial analyst and head of energy sector analysis. She has worked in Norway, the United Kingdom and Lithuania.
  • Eglė holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and a Master’s degree in Economics. She is also a graduate of Stanford University’s GSB LEAD programme.

Edgaras Sulgaukas

Project Manager

Experience of Edgaras:

  • Edgaras has more than 20 years of experience in facility design, assessment and certification in accordance with Uptime Institute, TIA-942 and EN-50600 data centre standards.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with excellent professional competence in high-level accessibility design (TIER IV, TIER III), as well as extensive experience as a project manager developing data centres.
  • Edgaras specialises in finding the best cooling solutions, using different cooling and heat recovery technologies and air or water side automation, to achieve the lowest Power Usage Efficiency (PUE) and the highest uptime guarantee.

In his previous jobs, Edgaras was responsible for the design of a telecommunications company’s data centres, creating one of the most efficient data centres in the country. It is a 1MW data centre where Edgar and his team designed and installed revolutionary server cooling units that are still unrivalled in the deployment of super-efficient data centres today.

This project was the first time in Lithuania that Uptime Institute was involved in the project, and both the project and the data centre were certified at TIER III level. The result of the previous work was so successful that in 2020 Edgaras and his team were invited to design and build a new 400kW data centre.

Another important project that demonstrates Edgaras’ expertise is the development of a data centre engineering system for one of the largest providers of cloud computing services. Edgaras was involved in the implementation phase of this project as a consultant while working for another company. It is a 2MW data centre with a design focus on extremely high reliability and TIER III compliance. At the end of the project, building permits were obtained.

Valdas Gudonis

Design Team Leader

Experience of Valdas:

  • Valdas is a senior designer and team leader with more than 30 years of experience in electrical engineering, electronic communication systems (telecommunications) design, security and fire alarm systems, process control and automation.

Arunas Jonas Jurksa

Project Manager

Experience of Arūnas:

  • Arūnas has more than 17 years of experience in designing and implementing a wide range of efficient and highly user-friendly data centre concepts, assessing further options, consulting on data centre certification according to the Uptime institute topology and EN 50600 standards.
  • He is an Accredited Tier Designer (ATD), a Certified Data Centre Design Professional (CDCDP) and a Certified Data Centre Audit Professional (CDCAP).
  • Arūnas has a deep knowledge of low PUE and easily accessible (UI Tier III, IV) solutions, and can professionally design data centres to meet the business needs of his clients.

In his previous jobs, together with other team members, Arūnas was responsible for designing data centres for a telecommunications company. It is a 1MW data centre that has become one of the most efficient data centres in the country.
